Description
Using advanced carbon fibre technology and Stefano Righini’s design expertise, the Azimut Grande 35 METRI is an extraordinary fusion of style and space. This wide-hulled megayacht introduces innovative features for its size, including the option for an additional upper sun deck, a side garage for tenders and jet skis, spacious beach clubs both fore and aft, and a luxurious owner’s suite on the main deck with a spectacular wrap-around terrace. Azimut’s extensive use of carbon fibre allows for increased interior space without adding weight, improving both performance and comfort on the water. This innovation reduces roll moment from 3% to 15%. Key components including the hard top, roll-bar, flybridge and superstructure are in fact constructed from carbon fibre laminated with epoxy resin. The interior is designed by renowned architect Achille Salvagni, who blends flowing lines and elegant shapes to reinterpret classic elements with a distinctly modern touch. The design employs a harmonious contrast between matt, textured woods and darker, glossy varieties. Exclusive materials such as treated brass, bronze and polished stainless steel add depth and sophistication to the space.
The D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull, developed by Pierluigi Ausonio in collaboration with the Azimut Benetti R&D centre, combines the comfort of a displacement hull with the speed of a planing hull and a wave-cut design to improve fuel efficiency. This hull design allows the yacht to reach high speeds without the need for overpowering engines, while also enabling efficient long-range cruising at a convenient pace. The hull is optimised for a wide range of speeds, including long-range displacement modes of 10-12 knots and semi-displacement cruising speeds. The Azimut Grande 35M “Iryna” boasts an elegant and sophisticated layout designed for luxury and comfort.
