Description

Pershing 7X is placed at the apex of the evolutionary path undertaken by the brand on the range, resuming the progress of the last few years and further improving, once again reaching unsurpassed standards of quality and innovation. 21 metres long (about 69‘) and 5.35 metres wide (about 17’), it is the product of the collaboration between Fulvio De Simoni’s design studio, the Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee, headed by engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Group’s Engineering Department. Pershing 7X expands the current range of the brand, entering the over 20 m market segment as a competitive product that represents a true evolution in terms of both style-functionality and performance. Carbon fibre dominates the design philosophy and is the primary construction material.

But Pershing 7X goes one step further and aims for greater lightness involving furniture, furnishing materials, the use of light alloys and the installation of lithium batteries in place of traditional ones. These solutions have led to a significant reduction in consumption, at the same speed, compared to previous models. A boat rich in content and at the same time very technological, with unparalleled performance: the design of the exteriors, always sporty and streamlined, adds an important aesthetic novelty to the stylistic features typical of Pershing, such as the imposing side wings: on the two outer sides, right at the point where the wings rest, the air intakes are contained in two openings in the body of the hull that widen into two lateral muscles, sporty objects that strongly recall the style of racing cars.

Accomodation

The main deck has a 360° view of the sea thanks to the large side windows and the crystal canopy which, together with the glass door leading to the saloon that is entirely concealed, ensure visual continuity between the interior and exterior spaces.

The flows are well distributed: the helm station is on the starboard side, to the left is a large L-shaped sofa that embraces a table that can be extended to accommodate up to 8 diners, and opposite is the cabinet with the retractable TV. The possibility of raising and lowering the table transforms the dinette into a dining or coffee break area. The two separate driver’s seats are made of Poltrona Frau ‘Interior in Motion’ leather, to which are added, on this first unit, two 19‘’ monitors inserted in a single dashboard with carbon fibre control panels and two tunnels accessorized with throttles and joysticks on either side of the driver’s seat. The windscreen is pillarless and completely freeing the view. On either side of the helm station, two side windows can be opened by an electric mechanism, accentuating the contact with the sea of this super-sporty-looking vessel. On the lower deck you can count on good volumes and habitability in height, and a clever play of mirrors gently amplifies the sense of space.

The open galley, on the left, is illuminated by light coming in abundantly from the windscreen above and the skylight in the ceiling; the spaces are intelligently distributed with the aim of obtaining more storage and inserting a full-height fridge.

An important stylistic novelty is introduced for the first time on Pershing 7X: new portholes in the cabins, which abandon their typical elliptical shape to make room for square, rectangular, much larger shapes. These are now completely openable inwards, permeating the rooms with air and natural light, giving the sensation of having a real window in the cabin. The porthole is in a vertical position in the owner’s suite, aligned with the large windows, horizontal in the other two cabins and measuring 80×30 cm. There are therefore three cabins: a full-beam owner’s suite amidships, completely redesigned: positioned lengthwise, it is lit by the new rectangular portholes with steel frames and a cosy atmosphere.

The VIP is located at the extreme bow and offers freedom of movement on three sides of the double bed. The guest suite to starboard has two twin beds. All cabins have their own bathroom, with a separate shower. The guest cabin bathroom also serves as a day toilet. The crew quarters are located aft, forward of the engine room and with direct access from the settee to the cockpit. Of good size, it consists of a single cabin with its own bathroom and separate shower. The heights of all areas on deck and below deck exceed 2 metres.
